Welcome to Principal’s Corner and to our Weekly Update. We have so many exciting things happening this week. The students are pumped about Monday’s pie smash. Families can watch too by joining our Google Meet. See the Pi Challenge below for more info. Our French Immersion teachers have been busy planning a special French cultural day for their students. This is an important piece of the French Immersion curriculum. We are thrilled to see parent volunteers in our school. We are so happy to have you back in our building. We have missed you! We will announce the winners of the Pi day Food Bank Challenge at 2:35 pm on Monday, March 14. There will be one winner from Division 1 (K-3 classes), Division 2 (4-6 classes) and Division 3 (7-9 classes). The winning classes get VIP seating in the Flex Space to watch the Pie Smashing! They also get to pick which staff member gets a pie in the face! You can watch along at home/work with this GOOGLE MEET LINK at 2:35 p.m.

IMPORTANT – Only 12% of our parents in Grades 4 and 7 have responded to the survey. Please take the time to complete the survey. We want 100% participation. Deadline to respond is Friday, March 25, 2022. Check your mailbox for your code and the link to the survey.

Our bin is very sad as it sits empty. Check your basements and closets for any old electronics (monitors, tvs, computers, small office equipment, laptops, tablets, etc). You can also share this with family and friends.

Classroom/School Activities

Grade 2 French Immersion students are VERY serious about the Food Bank Challenge. One family brought in a WAGON load of food. Many thanks to all our families who brought in donations.
