    The PowerSchool Parent Portal is open and you should be able to view your child’s report card. If you are having difficulty finding the report card, please see image below for a reminder on how to access the report card. If you have questions about your child’s report card, please reach out to their teacher(s).

    Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL for students this coming Thursday and Friday as it is Teachers’ Convention. See image below for additional information.

    In February, students will be learning about Habit 4: Think Win-Win.

    Grade 2 students participated in centres as they learned more about their prairie community in Social Studies. Students were surprised with perogies to sample, thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers and our Parent Association who funded the snack. Fun was had by all! 

    PARENT INFORMATION

    Alberta Education is conducting its annual education surveys. This survey collects information on the quality of education provided by school authorities and their schools. The results help schools and school authorities to develop education plans.

    Our EAL Junior Kindergarten program is a social, play-based, targeted learning program for children whose main language at home is not English.     EDMS CHARITY MARKET EVENT

    Wow! We would like to send out kudos to our JH entrepreneurial students and Mrs. Bablitz for organizing such a wonderful charity event! Thank you to everyone for supporting our charity market this past week. Our students raised $919.20 which will be donated to the Children’s Stollery Hospital.

    There will be regular practices scheduled for this week. Games are posted in Team Snap. If our teams have home games, you can find them on our school calendar. We are always happy to have fans at our home games. Please use the Community entrance at the back of the school when coming to watch basketball games. Thanks so much!

    In an effort to enhance communication around extracurricular opportunities, we have created a digital sign up for all activities as they become available. This google form is required for students to participate and to help us with our planning. Once practices begin, parents will fill out the required permission forms in PowerSchool and pay the applicable fee.

    If your child is interested in participating in any extracurricular activities, please use the sign-up forms that will be posted in this section. You can access each form by clicking on the images below.

    SPIRIT WEAR STORE

    As you know, we were excited to launch the opening of our new online school spirit wear store with Lil’ Buckeroo Designs. Thank you to everyone who purchased some new Duck Gear.

    The store is still open and you have an option to ship to your home or do a pick up in the shop in New Sarepta. Deliveries to the school only happen when we do a school wide campaign like we just completed prior to Dec. 10. We will let you know when new items are added and when we plan to do another school wide order. Don’t miss out on your chance to get some new spirit wear.     HOT LUNCH

    The Hot Lunch Program is up and running. It runs from October to June.

    Menus will be loaded into the system in groups: October to Christmas break, January to Spring break and April to the end of the school year.

    The Hot Lunch online order system requires a small amount of setup time at the beginning as you must register each child you have attending our school prior to ordering.

    In order for vendors to fulfill our Hot Lunch orders, we need to close ordering from 10 – 14 days in advance, therefore, please ensure that you place your Hot Lunch order before each deadline. The deadline is noted on each vendor menu.
