Welcome to the Principal’s Corner
Winter has arrived. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather. Unless it is extremely cold, students will be outside for recess. We have had a few boot mix ups already; please label belongings with names/initials for easy identification. All students require a pair of indoor shoes that are gym appropriate (running shoes).
Christmas concerts are happening this week! Don’t forget to save the dates: Dec. 13 and 14. Details for times and grades are listed on our calendar and in our events section below. Quick reminder: all guests to our school must remove their shoes. Please bring a bag to put your wet footwear in and take them to your seat in the gym. Thank you in advance for your help keeping our school clean.
We are looking for donations for the Beaumont Nisku Christmas Elves. There will be a drop box by the office for donations of toys. Thank you for your generosity.
We are excited to launch the opening of our new online school spirit wear store with Lil’ Buckeroo Designs. If you would like to receive your items prior to Christmas, orders must be placed by December 10 at the very latest. Don’t miss out on your chance to get some new spirit wear. assembly update
We continue to learn about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This month students learned about the importance of always being kind. Some elementary students were recognized with Leader in Me certificates.
Junior High students learned about SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) and participated in a community awareness project. Each student created an educational message for the SADD liquor bag campaign. When these bags are done, they will be dropped off at local liquor stores to be used during the holiday season. Junior High students also participated in a discussion to create a survey for feedback on a number of topics. We have Leader in Me certificates for JH students and we will use survey results to determine best time to receive these. Stay tuned!

School Events
Please use the front doors to enter the school. The school, gym, and classroom doors will open 15 minutes prior to the concert. Students go directly to their classroom. Please use the gym doors by the office to enter the gym. After the concert, audience members will exit the gym through the back set of doors. The concerts are approximately 30 minutes in length. Please stay for the duration of the concert and avoid entering and exiting the gym during the concert. Thank you for respecting our performers.

BASKETBALL NOTES
The mini-basketball teams have started their season. Please note: we will be utilizing TeamSnap to help support communication for all of our basketball teams. Parents of these students have been sent an invite through the app.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR REMINDERS
In an effort to enhance communication around extracurricular opportunities, we have created a digital sign up for all activities as they become available. This google form is required for students to participate and to help us with our planning. Once practices begin, parents will fill out the required permission forms in PowerSchool and pay the applicable fee.

Hot Lunch

The Hot Lunch Program is up and running. It runs from October to June.
Menus will be loaded into the system in groups: October to Christmas break, January to Spring break and April to the end of the school year.
The Hot Lunch online order system requires a small amount of setup time at the beginning as you must register each child you have attending our school prior to ordering.
In order for vendors to fulfill our Hot Lunch orders, we need to close ordering from 10 – 14 days in advance, therefore, please ensure that you place your Hot Lunch order before each deadline. The deadline is noted on each vendor menu.
