Welcome to Principal’s Corner and to our Weekly Update. It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of May. We are happy to see sunny days. The staff had fun on their last dress-up day: Costume Day. We sure had lots of confused parent looks when they came into the school. There also has been a hockey rivalry going. Mrs. Olson and a true blue Oilers fan. Students have had fun decorating the music room door and Mrs. Olson has also been having fun decorating classrooms – especially those Calgary Flames fans! All in good fun.

    Classroom / School Activities

Grade 1 and Grade 4 students joined forces for buddy reading. The grade 4 students shared their plant journal and the grade 1 students got help with their animal research project. Great leaders!

French Immersion students are learning about ladybugs. They learned how to write the word “une coccinelle” and crafted a ladybug. Bravo les amis!

    School News

Some of our Junior High students attended a track meet this week. Thanks to our teachers for preparing out athletes.

These Grade 9 students are participating in the Bandits Spring Football Camp. They are playing in the Beaumont Football Jamboree on May 28 and the Holy Trinity Jamboree on June 4. We will miss our Grade 9 students but they will make us proud next year at the high school.

Yearbooks are a great way to celebrate a school year. The yearbook contains pictures of each student as well as class activity photos. We also include photos of our special event days. In addition, we will feature our Grade 9 students as we wish them farewell.

    Upcoming Events & Activities

We will be having our Leader in Me Assembly in-person. We will have a virtual option for parents to connect from home or work as well. Click HERE to access the Google Meet Link. Our assemblies are live events and not recorded.

This is an opportunity for parents to bring their child to visit our Kindergarten classrooms. You can visit both our English and French Immersion classrooms. Your child will have a chance to tour the classrooms. No need to register. Just drop-in at the office. We will have someone take you to the classrooms.
