Welcome to Principal’s Corner. Unfortunately our assemblies were postponed due to some gym maintenance. We plan to do our assemblies next week. Thanks to all our parents for supporting our book fair. It was a great success! Don’t forget to fill out our Leader in Me survey. We appreciate your feedback. Grade 6 and 9 students will be writing Provincial Achievement Tests this week. Teachers and students have worked hard to prepare for these exams. Parents will get the results of these exams in August.

Ella and Mrs Blagdon won the $25 each Book Fair draw. Mrs Blagdon wasn’t here so Chloe helped out
Wyatt guessed the correct number of marbles! There were 56 in the jar.
Millauni was the closest guess for the chickpeas. She guessed 300 and there were 315 in the jar.
We did an extra draw as the book fair did really well and Michael won that!
Grade 6 invited local candidates to visit and talk about local government as part of their Social Studies curriculum. The NDP Candidate for Leduc-Beaumont, Cam Heenan, accepted the invite to come and speak to our students. He talked to the students about provincial government and how to become a candidate.
School News & Notes
Students are not permitted to have their cell phones or any other electronic device (including wearables and/or Smart watches) in the exam room. Students will need to lock these items in their locker during the exam time.

Parent Association Events
Registration deadline is May 15th! Get your team registered right away! $40 per player, includes pizza lunch 
7-13 year olds, 5-7 players per team. Players must supply their own helmet with shield, gloves, & hockey stick (wiffle ball or regular stick). Shin guards are also recommended.
