Welcome to Principal’s Corner and to our Weekly Update. This week, Black Gold Schools hosted their Council of School Communities virtually. We had two grade nine students represent our school and share their ideas with the School Division. Thank you to Trinity Draper and Caden Sawchuk for being amazing leaders at this event. On Friday, February 25, our Grade One students will be celebrating their 100th Day of School. I hope you all have a fabulous Family Day! – Susanne Stroud, Principal

    AHS Guidelines

All students and staff must continue to do the daily checklist before coming to school.

Students who test positive for COVID-19 must still follow isolation requirements and isolate for 10 days. Students in Kindergarten to Grade 9 who are fully vaccinated are able to return to school after 5 days of isolation if asymptomatic. They must also wear a mask at school (all day long) and eat in a separate lunch room space until the 10 days has passed.

This information is correct as of February 18, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. (These guidelines are subject to change by AHS at any time.)

    Classroom Activities

2AI and 5AI have been busy connecting virtually for reading buddies. They have been reading French books, practicing basic facts and having French conversations to practice their oral speaking skills. Bravo, les amis!

Mme Lust’s Grade 3 Immersion class had fun creating Valentine’s mailboxes for their Valentines.
