Welcome to Principal’s Corner. You will get this post once a week emailed to the email listed in PowerSchool. We recommend that you create a unique google email account that you use for just school info. This way all classroom and school info go to one email address. If you decide to create a new email address, please let the secretaries know so they can update PowerSchool.

The Principal’s Corner will keep you informed as of any upcoming events. We also like to share photos of what is happening in our school. We look forward to another amazing year. Welcome to all our new families who are joining us this year.

Back to School Info

Due to the large number of changes with student enrollment in June and over the summer, class placements for students in Grades 1-9 will be posted in PowerSchool on Thursday, August 25, 2022 by noon. Please ensure you know how to log into PowerSchool to see your child’s profile. Please note that the PowerSchool parent portal will be closed to parents from August 22- August 25, 2022.

Class placements are made in consultation with the teachers. When classes are set up we follow a number of guidelines. These include: · Ability Distribution & Class Size (The best conditions for an effective learning community is to place children in an environment where there is a range of abilities.) We also have to maintain class sizes. · Work habits (Some children work more independently than others. It is best to mix these up in order to create a supportive learning environment.) We are asking for your support in trusting the judgment of our professional staff in setting up the classes. Considerable time is allocated to making the best possible decision. The well being of each individual is at the center of our decision. Please DO NOT ask for a class placement change. We are not able to accommodate a specific teacher request or for friends to be placed in the same class.

Please note that the classrooms and school will not be “First Day of School” ready as we still have one more day of preparation.

Student Drop-off & Pickup

Please do not use the bus lane or staff parking lot for drop-off or pickups.
