Welcome to Principal’s Corner. Our students had a fantastic time watching the magician this week. Thank you to all our families who came in for our Family Art Night. We are so excited to have some warmer weather and have our playgrounds drying up. We are also excited for NHL playoffs. Mrs. Olson is an avid Oilers fan and the students enjoy decorating her door with other teams. As you probably can tell, I am an Oilers fan too! Feel free to cheer on your favourite team by wearing their jersey on game day! Good luck to our Flag Football teams on their first game.

This week our Grade 6 students made a visit to City Hall to learn about local government as part of their Social Studies unit.

Congratulations to our students who participated in the Beaumont Floor Hockey Cup. Thanks to our teachers for volunteering their time to coach our teams.

Friday was Crazy Hair or Crazy Hat day. Some interesting hair-dos and hats!

Electronics Recycling

Are you doing some spring cleaning at your house or office? Do you have any old tvs, computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, laptops, tablets, cell phones, power tools, audio visual equipment, or small home appliances (toasters, fans, vaccums)? Save yourself a trip to the ecostation or dump and drop it off at our school. We have a electronics collection happening this month. There is a collection cage located outside the office. Feel free to use the emergency lane at the front of the school and drop off items at the office. (Please avoid coming during arrival and dismissal times 8- 8:45 a.m. and 2:30 – 3:15pm)

Students are not permitted to have their cell phones or any other electronic device (including wearables and/or Smart watches) in the exam room. Students will need to lock these items in their locker during the exam time.
