Awards

Duck Certificate

All students in Grades K-3 will receive a certificate from their teacher acknowledging their accomplishments.  The certificate will be given out at the end of the year in the classroom.

Honours Certificate

Students in Grades 7-8 will receive an Honours certificate if they have a combined average of 80% in core subjects by the last Friday before final exams.  Students must have all assignments completed and handed in before the third Friday in June to be considered for Honours.  The Honours certificate will be given out at the school awards ceremony at the end of the year.

Honours with Distinction

Students in Grades 7-8 will receive an Honours with Distinction certificate if they have a combined average of 90% in core subjects by the last Friday before final exams.  Students must have all assignments completed and handed in before the third Friday in June to be considered for Honours.   The Honours with Distinction certificate will be given out at the school awards ceremony at the end of the year.

Duck Award

Each class in Grades 4-7 will vote for a student in their class for the Duck Award based on criteria.  A student may only win the Duck Award one time during their time at our school. These awards will be given out at a school awards ceremony at the end of the year.

Highest Academic

One student from Grade 7 and from Grade 8

  •         Highest academic average in core subjects by the third Friday in June.
  •         Students receive  a scholarship from Black Gold Regional School Division.
